What a great event! From facility to food to what was really important - the message! Particularly for a first-time event, I thought it was smashing. I know some of those in attendance are already advocates and volunteers. If we can just turn a few more of the attendees into advocates spreading the word, we can't lose.

Great post Kris.

I love the pondering of the "lone voice." What do we choose to use it for?

Mine is in expansion. I came away from this conference with a new vision of where "Justice" can play. There is so much opportunity and in a weird way--all the economic ups and downs gives an open door in many areas--when before the door was shut tight.

Lots of opportunities out there--thanks for you passion!

My name is Noopur and I am Relationship Manager with the Enterprise Learning Solutions group of NIIT LTD. I have been successfully managing relationships with hundreds of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across the globe. We build learning solutions for customers across the globe.

We are currently looking for subject matter experts to help create the course - Restorative Justice for the US students. If you are interested in working on this course, I would be happy to share more details on the project on hearing from you.

Course Description -

This course explores a theory of justice and practice that, in contrast to an adversarial approach to justice, emphasizes repairing the harm caused by criminal behavior to the victim and community. Students study strategies for repairing harm by involving stakeholders in actions that transform the relationships between victims, offenders, communities, and criminal justice agencies in their response to crime.

SME Profile: The SME needs to have: • a doctoral degree (PhD) in criminal justice or closely related field • expertise in restorative justice and criminal behavior • teaching experience related to restorative justice and criminal behavior • publications or engaged in research • related professional experience.

Required: Immediately

Paid Assignment: Financials Negotiable

Travel: No travel involved. You would work from your location as a Freelancer.

What is in it for you: The proposal will come with good financial benefits. As an SME, you would become a part of our centralized pool and there would be chances of you getting more such proposals in future.

If this interests you, please do send me your updated resume at the earliest or do refer someone who would be of help.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

Hello Kris,
What a lovely site. Thank you!
I am researching the use of peacemaking circles' (ala kay) in the classroom and came across you. Do you have any other leads on the topic?
